April 22nd was Earth Day, although, like one of amazing teachers (Mrs. Gonzalez) tells her 6th grade class, “Everyday is Earth Day!”
We set up times for each class in the entire school to tour our school’s beautiful garden and asked each student to bring in a bag of ingredients to add to our compost bins. It was a great learning experience, the compost bin is full, and the garden is looking amazing. The garden is full of strawberries, corn, lettuce, cabbage, oranges, apples, peas, onions, sunflowers and more.
