Soul Food

As we continue our Diversity Celebration, this Thursday night (2/23) from 5 – 8 pm we are getting together to celebrate African-American HeritageDaryl Grigsby (Pomona’s Public Works Director) & Machine Pomona are heading up an African Drum Circle.  If you have a drum, coffee can or paint bucket, feel free to bring it, although they will be bringing a few to share.

If you are up for a friendly competition, we are having our Soul Food Cook Off, sign ups are in the PTA Room, on the PTA Board, and in the School Office.  Bring some homemade biscuits, gumbo, fried catfish, greens or even a big rack of BBQ ribs and show us what you’re made of.  I wonder who will win the coveted Best In Show wood burned spoon from Pomona Artist Paul Nguyen!

Dinner and a drink will be provided as well ($3 for PTA members & $5 for non-members).

To top the whole thing off…we will be playing Bingo after dinner.  You’re not going to want to miss this one.
